Vintage JOSS J-18 model Billiard Cues From Japan Good Condition

Old JOSS cue J-18 model

◆Butt: 413g

◆Shaft: 109g, 12.9-21.4mm

◆Joint: 14-tooth pyro

◆Accessories: Joint protector

◆The J-18 model is the cue used as a balabushka in the movie Color of Money.

◆The Joss logo has not disappeared.

◆There appear to be traces of processing from a butt end replacement, but the repair history is unknown. The butt rubber is a screw-in type, but its shape is different from the recent ones with the Joss logo.

◆The inlay is a slightly rounded type.

◆The joint pin is a flat-tipped type.

◆The tip is made of resin. The repair history is unknown.

◆From the above, there are some differences from the J-18 of the 1980s, and it cannot be denied that it may have been tampered with.

◆The J-18 model was later reproduced as the N-7 model, but it seems clearly different from the N-7 model. Our guess is that it is probably from the late 80s to early 90s, before the reissue.

◆ The feeling when using is comparable to that of the 80s models, but because the tip is made of resin, the sound when hitting it is different from the natural material ones from the 80s.

◆ Photos 9 and 10 show comparison photos of the 80s model with the more recent model (the cues at both ends are for comparison purposes and are not included).
